Joel Mikell is a trusted voice in generosity ministry, helping churches move from transactional giving to transformational stewardship. With over two decades of experience in generosity strategy—and 25 years prior in worship and pastoral ministry—Joel has partnered with more than 200 churches to raise $800M+ through vision-centered, prayer-driven campaigns that fuel mission.

A compelling communicator and seasoned coach, Joel equips pastors and church leaders to build cultures of generosity rooted in Scripture and discipleship. He’s the author of Crafting a Theology of Stewardship and co-author of Church Giving Matters and The Ministry of Giving—a unique resource for ministering to financial leaders beyond campaigns.

Joel holds degrees from Troy University and Southwestern Seminary, with additional studies at the University of Georgia. He is a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE), a StratOps Facilitator, a Certified Christian Financial Counselor, and an ICF-trained coach.

Joel lives in Shelby, NC, with his wife Donna. They love investing in their local church, spending time outdoors, and making memories with their three grown children and six grandchildren.
